Respiratory therapists care for patients who have trouble breathing - for example from a chronic respiratory disease, 比如哮喘或肺气肿. Their patients range from premature infants to elderly patients. They also provide emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock.

Step 2: If accepted in the program you will begin your classes in the 呼吸治疗 Program in the Fall.
步骤3: Complete the 呼吸治疗 Program in just five semesters! Our 呼吸治疗 Program is fully accredited by the 呼吸护理认可委员会 (CoARC), which means alumni of 肖尼 State’s 呼吸治疗 Program have the degree requirements to take the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) exams.
Step 4: Once you have graduated from the 呼吸治疗 Program, you will be eligible to take the Therapist Multiple Choice exam from the NBRC passing at one level you will be awarded your Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential and then passing a higher level you are eligible to take the Clinical Simulations Exam (CSE) and passing you will be awarded the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
Step 5: 申请license to practice respiratory therapy in the state where you will work or want to find a job.
